This year, we are offering a variety of week-long and half-day summer camps for ages 4 & up. All camps are based at Stokes Nature Center. Join us and learn about the truly amazing natural world!

Thursday, June 9th, 4-6pm
Come meet the summer camp staff and help us kick off the season with nature crafts. This event is free for camp participants and their families.
Week-long Camp
For ages 7 & up
Let the wilderness be your canvas as you create art inspired by and created with natural objects. Make paper decorated with seeds, leaves, and flower petals. Hike to places with spectacular scenery and draw or paint what inspires you. Use twigs, rocks, and leaves to create an outdoor art masterpiece. After a week of unique projects, you'll see art everywhere you go!
June 13-15, 9am-4:30pm -AND- June 16, 9am through June 17, 12pm
(includes an overnight stay on Thursday night)

Week-long Camp
For ages 7 & up
Join SNC for a week-long outdoor adventure! Explore a new part of Logan Canyon every day while learning important outdoor skills such as tracking, plant and animal identification, shelter-building, map and compass use, wilderness safety and much more. Come prepared to hike every day, and put some of your new skills to work during our overnight in the canyon.
June 27-29, 9am-4:30pm -AND- June 30, 9am through July 1, 12pm

Week-long Camp
For ages 7-10
Focus on a different type of animal every day - mammals, birds, reptiles & amphibians, and insects - then bring it all together to understand how they all interact to create our wonderful world. Get up close and personal with SNC's fabulous critters and search the wild for others. Who knows what we'll find?
July 26*-27, 9am-4:30pm -AND- July 28, 9am through July 29, 12pm

For ages 7 & up
Interpret the landscape through clues that Mother Nature leaves behind! As eco explorers, we will investigate Logan Canyon, learning about local geology, weather, plants and animals. Discover what lives in and around the nature center and how all parts of the environment come together to make it possible.
August 8-10, 9am-4:30pm -AND- August 11, 9am through August 12, 12pm

For ages 4-7, 8-12
Use fruits and vegetables to play games, create art, and of course eat! Campers will learn about where food comes from, how seeds grow into plants, and will take home a fun plant to watch grow (and eventually eat!)

Crawl, splash, dig, and search your way through the wonders of nature. Be inspired by stories, laugh your way through games, and create nature-themed art during this fun outdoor learning time.

Tuesday, August 2, 1-4pm Theme: Reptiles
Thursday, August 4, 9am-12pm Theme: Camp Out!

Get to know these incredible plants, some of which can grow hundreds of feet tall and live for thousands of years! Find out why they are important to your every day life, get to know our local species, and make tree inspired art - including homemade paper.
