The painting features playful coyotes and other animal friends meeting at SNC in Logan Canyon. These prints are signed by the artist. The original painting was sold at the annual Stokes Nature Center auction on November 4, 2006.
Jerry Fuhriman is a native of northern Utah and spends much of his painting time in the deep canyons of southern Utah or the rural landscapes of western United States. His work has been featured in Southwest Art, Santa Fe-Taos Collectors Guide, and New Mexico Traveler magazine. His work appears in many fine art galleries throughout the western United States. In addition, his work was recently exhibited in Osaka, London, and New York as part of the One Heart-One World United Nations traveling art exhibit.

An award-winning children's book, The Illuminated Desert is a stunning dialogue between painting and prose by two daughters of the Colorado Plateau: Terry Tempest Williams and Chloe Hedden. This is more than an "abecedarian" or Alphabet Book. It is an exquisite rendering of the redrock canyons of southern Utah and the natural history that evokes a poetry of place. The audeince for this book is the audience of the desert itself, beginning with the children and shared with adults in discovery and delight.

Can it be there was only one summer that I was ten?
First published in 1956, May Swenson's The Centaur remains one of her most popular and most anthologized poems. In images bright and brisk and nearly tangible, the poet re-creates the joy of riding a stick horse through a small-town summer. Sherry Meidell's water-color illustrations perfectly convey the wit and wisdom of May Swenson's poem.
