2011-12 SNC Homeschool Program Flyer

Introduction

SNC offers a homeschool series to interested parents and students in grades K - 5 on the second Wednesday of each month. All programs are science-based, hands-on, experiential and designed to meet Utah State Core Standards.

Cost: $50 for the entire 9-month series (September - May), or students can attend individual classes for $8 each (if space is available). All students must be registered at least one week in advance of each class.

Location: All classes will be held at the Stokes Nature Center unless otherwise noted. Most programs include an outdoor component, so dress accordingly!

Dates & Times: Classes run the second Wednesday* of each month from 10am - 12pm. Please see below for monthly topics. *NOTE: The September class will be held on Tuesday, September 13th.

This year we will learn what it means to be a naturalist and will practice our skills of observation while focusing on specific topics throughout the seasons.

*Note: The September class will be held on TUESDAY, September 13th.

General notes: We ask that parents act as chaperones during the program and help facilitate learning. Please make other arrangements for toddlers, infants are welcome.
