SNC Corporate Partnership Opportunities

We are excited to offer businesses the opportunity to join SNC by becoming an SNC Corporate Partner. By doing so, companies will help us to build upon the work started here six years ago and in return receive many SNC Corporate Partner benefits ranging from corporate marketing opportunities to discounts at SNC for employees. There are a variety of ways for your company to get involved including 1) SNC Education Program Sponsorship, 2) SNC Corporate Membership, 3) General Support / Endowment Building, and 4) SNC Event Sponsorship (see below for details).

Corporate Partnership Opportunities:

1. SNC Education Program Sponsorship: SNC offers a variety of programs for schools including programs at our center, offsite programs, outreach programs, and Stokes Field Expeditions. In order to keep these programs affordable and therefore available to many, we offer them at a fraction of the actual cost of providing them. We rely on generous individuals and businesses to keep this quality programming available in this community. There are two ways your company can support our education programming.

  • Partners In Nature Education (PINE): Your company can become a Partner in Nature Education by contributing to our PINE fund. Our PINE funds pays for students to attend our onsite, offsite, and outreach programming and even covers schools’ transportation costs.

    $500 - Funds two onsite, offsite, or outreach programs, providing opportunities for as many as 60 students. Places your organization on the SNC Corporate Partner page in our quarterly newsletter and on our website.

    $1,000 - Funds four onsite, offsite, or outreach programs, providing opportunities for as many as 120 students. Places your organization on the SNC Corporate Partner page in our quarterly newsletter and on our website.

    $2,000 - Funds eight onsite, offsite, or outreach programs, providing opportunities for as many as 240 students. Places your organization on the SNC Corporate Partner page in our quarterly newsletter and on our website.
  • Stokes Field Expedition (SFE) Partner: If field adventure is where your interests lie, you can become a Stokes Field Expedition Partner. Involving four full days in the field throughout the year (two days in the fall, one day in the winter, and one in the spring), this program is designed to encourage and develop deeper connections between local students and their own place using field exploration, journaling activities, and research activities. Demand continues to grow for these programs, and we are having difficulty meeting the need while keeping the cost low. Schools’ transportation costs are not provided through this fund.

    $1,650 - Funds one full year of SFE to one classroom, providing opportunities for as many as 30 students. Places your organization on the SNC Corporate Partner page in our quarterly newsletter and on our website.

    $3,300 - Funds one full year of SFE to two classrooms, providing opportunities for as many as 60 students. Places your organization on the SNC Corporate Partner page in our quarterly newsletter and on our website.

2. SNC Corporate Membership: Our corporate membership program provides your employees with the benefits of a family membership. Your employees receive discounts on programs, birthday parties, and facility rentals, 10% off all purchases in our gift shop, and access to upcoming events and happenings through our quarterly newsletter which will be mailed directly to your company. Additionally, as a corporate member, your company will receive recognition in the SNC newsletter’s and the SNC website’s Corporate Partners sections.

3. General Support / SNC Endowment Building: SNC maintains an active endowment program that helps not only to fund existing programs, but serves as a foundation from which to build future programs. A donation toward either on-going operations or the endowment program can be a perfect way to contribute to the cause without having to be specific about how the resources must be used. Our endowment program is managed by certified public accountants and is audited each year. Any amount given for general support is most appreciated!

4. SNC Event Sponsorship: SNC annually hosts a variety of fundraising and public events that continue to gain participation, recognition, and support from the local community. The event sponsorship program is a great way for your company to get involved and receive public recognition and marketing exposure. Sponsorship and support opportunities range from cash contributions to in-kind donations. Some of our upcoming events include:

  • Star Party - Enjoy food and an evening viewing the stars at Hardware Ranch at the Stokes Nature Center hosted Starbeque. Great food, telescopes and astronomy experts are included!
  • SNC Annual Auction / Dinner – This event of the season is attended by over 200 people each year. Always a fabulous evening that includes a wonderful dinner at the Coppermill, a silent auction, and the most entertaining live auction around!
