Gardens produce healthy foods, allow their keepers to spend some relaxing time outdoors, and can be downright delicious!
Join the Stokes Nature Center this summer as we examine the food-production capabilities of our very own backyards.
The Backyard Harvest Series runs March-August, 2012, and covers multiple backyard gardening topics. These basic workshops are
designed to introduce participants to each topic and provide information and resources to get them started implementing new backyard
gardening techniques. Previous knowledge in the subject matter is not necessary. Workshops are offered once per month. Sign up for one
or many!

It's jam season! Come learn tips on how to spice up your jam recipes and make them extraordinary. Local jam-maker Liz Butcher from Butcher's Bunches will lead this
hands-on workshop in the kitchen at the new Balance Cafe. Participants will be asked to bring fruit and a few empty jars, and will go home with jars of fabulous no-sugar-added
jam, recipes, and ideas.
